Govt announces public holiday coming Thursday

Kathmandu, Sept 12: The government has declared public holiday coming Thursday to mourn the demise of Constituent Assembly Chairperson Subash Chandra Nembang.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notice on Tuesday, informing that coming Thursday would be a public holiday.
CPN UML Vice-Chairperson Nembang who was elected member of the House of Representatives from Ilam constituency no 2 passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was 71.

The government decided to give the public holiday to all public offices and Nepali diplomatic missions abroad and said that the national flag of Nepal would be flown at half-mast in all the relevant agencies of the government of Nepal.
