Death Toll from Venezuela Quakes Rises to 1,943, with Over 10,500 Injured

Caracas, July 01 (QNA) : Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez announced that the death toll from the two devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela days ago has risen to 1,943, with more than 10,500 injured.
In a press statement, Rodriguez said that more than 15,000 people have been registered so far, while 6,461 have been rescued since relief operations began. He noted that thousands are still missing.
The United Nations estimates that approximately 50,000 people are missing, as the search for possible survivors continues.
