Inscription of poet Roshan Pariyar’s poem “Pakhribas” at Pakhri Park in Pakhribas, Dhankuta

Dhankuta. Poet Roshan Pariyar’s poem “Pakhribas” has been inscribed in the newly constructed Pakhri Park in Pakhribas Municipality 4, a tourist town of Dhankuta.

The poem titled ‘Pakhribas’ written by the poet Pariyar, a resident of Pakhribas municipality 4, was unveiled by city chief Gyan Bahadur Gurung during the program held on November 21.

The poet said that the poem was composed based on research about the naming of Pakhribas. The poet has said that the historical figures of Pakhribas have been remembered in the poem to bring alive the incomparable contributions made in various fields.

He said that the poem depicts natural beauty, geographical environment, changing climate, economic and social life, agriculture, employment and local cultural values. The poet said that by making the reference of unity in diversity the subject of the poem, the common identity of many languages, religions, traditions and multi-ethnic society was also attached in the poem.

The poet said that there is good potential for tourism in Pakhribas and the tourists who come here should read the history of Pakhribas and know something about it and it is important for the new generations here to get information about their native land. Emphasizing that the recording of history guides the way of the present or if history is erased, the present will be lost, the poet said that the inscription of the poem was done.
