US Military Says It Completed Seventh Consecutive Night of Airstrikes on Iran

Washington, July 18 (QNA) : US Central Command (CENTCOM) said early Saturday that it had completed a seventh consecutive night of airstrikes against Iran, targeting military logistics infrastructure and other military sites as part of what it described as an effort to further degrade Iran’s military capabilities.
In a statement, CENTCOM said the latest strikes targeted military logistics infrastructure, surveillance sites, underground weapons storage facilities and maritime capabilities. It added that the operation involved fighter aircraft, drones, warships and other military assets.
The command said more than 50,000 US service members remain deployed across the Middle East and are “vigilant, lethal and ready.”
CENTCOM also denied claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz exploded after striking mines allegedly laid by Iran, calling the claim false.
Earlier, as it announced the launch of the latest wave of overnight strikes, CENTCOM said the operation was intended to continue weakening Iran’s military capabilities.
