Limbuwan Souvenir Publication Released

On 20 June 2026, the Limbuwan Nagarik Smarika (Limbuwan Civil Souvenir Book) was officially released in Aldershot Town, located near London, the capital of the UK.

Published by the Limbuwan Civil Society UK, the souvenir book was jointly inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Kamala Limbu (President of the Limbu’s organization, Kirat Yakthung Chumlung UK), and Mr. Devi Bahadur Tumbahamphe (Coordinator of the Identity-Based Front UK).

The editor, Mohan Gopal Chemjong ‘Lahang’, provided an overview of the content featured in the souvenir. Meanwhile, a trio of reviewers—Biswasdip Tigela, Rajesh Thapa ‘Tek’, and Ganesh Ijam—offered a comprehensive and detailed critique spanning broad to granular aspects of the publication.

During the event, singer, artist, and journalist Rajendra Kerung, who was visiting from Nepal, was duly honored. The 100-page souvenir book encapsulates significant articles and essays concerning Limbuwan, alongside various community activities of the society.

The release ceremony was presided over by the Society’s President, Bijay Lumphuwa, and was conducted by General Secretary Gyanu Phurumbo. The Limbuwan Civil Society was established on February 2, 2010, and has been continuously active ever since.
