Kathmandu,21 July : Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal President Upendra Yadav has said that the role of lawyers is important in Nepal’s political movement.
At the opening of the first national conference of the Federal Legal Practitioners Association, he mentioned that legal professionals have a leading role in large-scale changes not only in Nepal but throughout the world. President Yadav said that the effective implementation of the federal system has not been implemented and emphasized that the judicial system of the country should be made fair and independent.
He also claimed that constitutional amendment is necessary for the actual implementation of federalism. President Yadav said that the association should play a role in taking the party towards legal and intellectual direction and demanded that the court should be inclusive.
On that occasion, Rajendra Prasad Shrestha, former minister and executive member of Jaspa, emphasized the need to advocate for an independent and impartial judiciary while fulfilling the responsibilities of legal professionals.
The president of the association, Deepak Rai, pledged that the organization will play a role in alerting the rights and interests of legal professionals as well as in favor of an independent and transparent court. The conference, which will last for two days, will select the leadership for the new working committee.RSS
