Tehrathum : Hariraj Khewa Memorial Park will be built in Dhankuta after a long time.
Chhathar Jorpati rural municipality is going to build a memorial park for late Hariraj Kheva, former Minister of State for Finance, in Sidhuwa.
Construction of the park has been started in memory of Khewa who died in a bus accident in Dhankuta seven years ago.
According to the municipality, the construction of a park in memory of Khewa has started at the accident site. The construction work has started after the rural municipality allocated 5 lakh rupees for the construction of the park. Geeta Gurung Kheva, custodian of the late Hariraj Memorial Foundation and Vice President of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality, said that the aim is to make a list and museum of all those who died in the accident along with the old man of Khewa in the park.
Construction has started near Park Koshi Highway. Deepak Gurung, Ward President of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality 6, said that the construction of this park was started with the help of the rural municipality with the participation of local people.
Late Khewa was also a literary, dramatist and writer along with political and social fields. The park, which was started in his memory, will be a new destination for the tourists coming here.
