Bhotekoshi flash floods: Death toll climbs to 469

Kathmandu, Aug 28: The death toll in the devastating flash floods occurred in Rasuwa district on Wednesday morning reached 469 as of 7:00 am today, according to the Nepal Police. The information shared by the Nepal Police recorded the death of 469 people. Among the fatalities, 12 dead bodies were found in Rasuwa, and 37 bodies in Nuwakot.

Likewise, the number of bodies retrieved from Dhading was 33, the police added. Gorkha recorded the dead bodies of 44 people; while Chitwan recorded 178 bodies.

The police added that bodies of 28 people were recovered in Tanahun district. Nawalparasi Bardaghat Purba district retrieved the bodies of 110 people and 27 from Nawalparasi Bardaghat Paschim district.

As per the police update, 28 Nepal Police personnel are still missing after the disaster.
