London, February 9, 2025 – A Nepalese student studying in the UK has made her country proud by winning a gold medal in an international competition.
Sarina Rani Ghale, originally from Kispang-1 Valche, Nuwakot, won gold in the WMAC English Open Martial Arts Championship, bringing recognition to Nepal on the global stage.
She secured the gold medal in the Traditional Weapons category at the prestigious event held at the Chase Leisure Center in Cannock, England. Third Dan Sarina scored 9.1 points, outperforming England’s Emily Jane, who finished in second place.
The event featured approximately 800 participants, and Sarina’s exceptional performance led her to a historic victory in her international debut.
Over the past year, while living in the UK, she has continued her rigorous training. Through tireless dedication, unwavering perseverance, and extraordinary talent, she has successfully introduced Nepal to the international martial arts scene.
