Ambassador Ghimire Welcomed by UK Nepali Journalists in London

London, February 21, 2025 – The Federation of Nepali Journalists UK Branch welcomed Nepali Ambassador to the UK, Chandra Kumar Ghimire.
Led by Branch President Bimala Sene, the officials visited the Nepali Embassy in London on Friday evening to meet the Ambassador and his wife, Sarita Neupane Ghimire.
On behalf of the Federation, President Sene welcomed Ambassador Ghimire and his wife with a khada and flowers. She wished them success in their tenure and said the Federation is ready to cooperate with the embassy if needed.
After the introduction program, Ambassador Ghimire thanked the Federation for the warm welcome despite his busy schedule. He said he was happy to see Nepali journalists in the UK active and strong in their profession. “Your role is important in building the country and society. You must always fulfill your professional duty,” he said.
During the meeting, President Bimala Sene, Senior Vice President Narendra Basnet, Vice President Shiva Bhandari, General Secretary Khemraj Ranabhat, Secretary Biswasdip Tigela, Assistant Treasurer Surendra Ingnam, Advisors Naresh Khapangi Magar and Nabin Pokharel, and Members Nagendra Nembang, Bom Thapa Suryavanshi, Goma Rana, and Central Representative Dut Pun were present.
In this friendly meeting, journalists shared various suggestions and discussed the challenges faced by Nepali students who recently arrived in the UK for studies.
